The kiss on your horn sends a shiver down your spine, and you wrap an arm around his waist and pull yourself closer to him. This was exactly how you wanted to spend the rest of your life, if you could. 

“I’m not complainin9,” you answer, smiling sleepily. The smile turned into a small yawn, and you nuzzle against him contentedly. Your eyes flutter shut, and you don’t remember anything else.

Normally you would think of something snarky to say but the both of you are beat and before you have time to realize it, you are asleep as well. 

You wake up the next day still cuddled closely to Jaiven, and you grin when you think about the whole strife episode; you’d both fallen asleep to get some rest before you fought and you played dumb when you woke up snuggling the next day. Her face was a brilliant shade of red and you got to poke fun at her— good times. You look down  to see mud all over the human bed and still partially caked onto your clothes, and you figure maybe to show her around you would take her through the rainforest today and you could kill two birds with one stone by stopping at the river to take a dip and wash the clothes you were in. 

When you first realize you are awake, you aren’t sure where you are. But it doesn’t take long to realize exactly where you were and who you were with, and a giddy sensation forces you to open your eyes, grinning widely up at your matesprit.

“Hey~”

You give him a peck on the lips with a purr of happiness, and re-wrap your arms around his neck. Bumping his nose with yours, you giggle and squirm all over the place, feeling as if you were bubbling with glee.

You’re beyond ecstatic about all of this and her affectionate behavior causes you to grin and fills you with joy. You take a moment to bask in how marvelous everything is and then you sit up in the human bed and strech. 

“I thought maybe, if you’re up to it, that iss, we could explore today? There’ss a river in the rainforesst that’ss real sspectacular and we could wassh up in it and all that.”

There was some more-modest-than-usual jewelry there you were in the process of making for Jaiven and you didn’t want her to see it yet. You walk over to her and awkwardly gesture towards both the bed and the recuperacoon.

“Uh.. so where should… we sleep?”

Matesprits would share recuperacoons, right? And you have no idea if the human equivalent of matesprits shared their alien sleeping devices. You figure so much though, there real should be some kind of manual to this.

You shrug. 

“Wherever is more comfortable for you. I can sleep anywhere, and…” You’re blushing, but you manage a smirk at him. “There’s no way that I’m livin9 with you without 9ettin9 my fair share of cuddlin9 with you.”

You shuffle over to the bed and sit down on it, patting the spot next to you. Cuddling sounded pretty good right now and it would probably be easier if you were both on the human bed.

You were clearly teasing him as you flopped on the bed. It was comfortable enough, for some strange human device. Why Teppeu had it at all baffled you, but whatever. You eagerly snuggle right up to him, drawing his arm around you and resting your head on his shoulder, careful of your rather pointy horns.

You laugh and kick off your sandals, still caked with mud. Now that somebody lived with you you would have to keep your hive a bit more tidy; typically Tzel wasn’t bothered by your mess and the hive was normally cleaned only if someone was visiting. It would be a really cool experience sharing a hive with someone and you imagine you and Jaiven will probably knock heads occasionally, what, with you both being so stubborn, but you’d learn so much about her. You lie back on the bed, pulling Jaiven down with you and you feel like you could fall asleep right there after all your travel.

You grin as the two of you fall back, and you kick off your shoes before nuzzling up to him and kissing his chin. Honestly you had no idea how to win a cuddle-off, but you sure could try. You toss your hair out of your face and rest your head on his chest, humming idly.

“We’re both rather covered in mud.” And you felt kind of bad that the two of you would probably get this….’bed’ dirty if you stayed in it too long. But you were so sleepy…

You blush darker and smile, raising a hand to scratch the base of one of your tendrils. You think Teppeu’s pretty awesome.

You’re pleased that Teppeu is going to stay the night, and you can only imagine how excited Auter must be. You can feel that it’s getting late, though, and it’s going to be a long walk back upstairs for them, so you think that it’s about time to be heading back to the hive.

You wrap your two longest tentacles around Teppeu’s waist and hoist him out of the water, setting him at the edge of the pool.

“Aww, Loligo, do we have to go already?”

You’re picked up out of the water and you pat the tentacle Loligo uses to put you down.

“I guessss what the head honcho here ssayss, goess!”

Which may or may not be alright by you, because as much fun as you’re having, dry land was your favourite.

You whine a bit, but get out of the water anyway. Loligo is your lusus, and he know what’s best, after all. When you’re out of the water, you sit down and try to wring your pant legs out a little before grabbing your coat and putting it back on. It’s a little warm down there with your long sleeves, but it’s probably getting dark out by now, and it can be kind of chilly in your Land at night.

You extend a hand to help Teppeu up, smiling. “C’mon, Teppeu. Let’s go back to my hive and, uhm, find something fun to do!”

You take his hand and get up, grabbing your shirt from the ground and flinging it over your shoulder.

“Ssomething fun ssoundss….. well, fun I guessss!!”

You wouldn’t mind getting a chance to see his extravagant hive again, either.

You laugh and grin at Teppeu sheepishly. You tug on his arm and the two of you head up the spiraling stairs back to the surface. It takes a while, but the stairs aren’t terribly steep so you don’t get very out of breath. It’s dark when you get back to the surface and it’s times like this that you’re glad you glow in the dark; you let off just enough light to see the way back to your beach.

“Have you, uhm, had fun so far, Teppeu?”

You watch Auter glow in the darkness of your surroundings, mesmerized until he speaks and you snap out of it. You’re like a child when it comes to anything eye-catching… probably why you’ve got a preoccupation for jewelry.
